Hotel shuttles

Some hotels offer their own shuttle service from the airport – check with your hotel whether they provide such an option.

Taxi

A taxi ride from the Chopin Airport to a hotel in the center takes around 20 minutes at a cost of approximately 30.00- 50.00  PLN (Please note: after 10:00 pm and on the weekends, the per kilometer rate increases by 50%). At the airport, be sure to avoid independent taxi drivers (they usually charge much higher rates). Beware of individuals who offer transport services at the exit from the arrival area. Head directly to the corporate taxi stands right outside the arrival hall. Most cab companies accept credit cards, but please double check before the ride.

Public transport

For those stayoing close to the conference venue we recommend taking bus no. 175  which runs from the Chopin Airport (it stops at the third lane in front of the exit from the Arrival terminal) to the city center, and is an efficient and inexpensive way to travel, with bus stops in the direct vicinity of most hotels listed on the conference webpage:
For public transport you should buy the ticket in advance in one of the airport newspaper kiosks or in a vending machone on the bus. A single ride ticket is 4,40 PLN, a ticket valid during 24 hours is 15,00 PLN, and a 3-day -  30,00 PLN. The tickets become valid when punched in a yellow box (to be found on the bus). Please remember that 175, being the airport line, has been notorious for pickpockets.

Arriving by train

The most convenient station is Warszawa Centralna (1), situated in the very centre of Warsaw, next to the famous Palace of Culture and Science. From there, you will reach your hotel by foot or by bus; here is a map of the bus stops around the station.

The bus no. 175 (the airport line) will take you from in front of the station to most hotels – for details, see previous section. The 175 bus stop is right by the Marriott Hotel.

Please remember to keep an eye on your belongings while at the train station or on the bus. Avoid crowds and talking to strange individuals ;-)
